There are so many incredible modalities out there to choose from, and from the outside they may all look quite similar, but how similar are we?
Well, that is a very valid question and one that would probably take quite a while to answer. Although I will never be fully aware of the in's and out's of many of modalities such as Spinal Flow, Spinal Energetics, Reiki or Spinal Attunement, I can share with you some of the key points of difference in how I work utilising predominately NetworkSpinal & Integral Energetics.
My approach is a very gentle one, with my priority lying in the development of safety and stability in the nervous system and energy system. Incorporating Integral Energetics, & NetworkSpinal (a gentle chiropractic modality), along with some other more traditional gentle chiropractic practices, we work towards creating a long term changes in the way your nervous system engages and responds to your environment.
Research into NetworkSpinal has shown the importance of breath awareness and breath depth in creating sustainable and long lasting changes. These studies showed that if we skip this important step in care and move straight into connecting to movement & the secondary coherence/somatopsychic breathwave, the results that unfolded were not as stable or long standing.
This is one of the many reasons why I actively seek the slow and steady approach with clients. Just because we can illicit a response, doesn't mean it's always best serving.
Keep in mind, everyone is different! What works for you may not work for your friend. That doesn't mean the modality doesn't work or the practitioner isn't good, it's just not for you. So keep looking, and don't be disheartened. There is the perfect health & wellness team out there for you, you just have to find them!
